4th of July!!

We had another great 4th of July this year! It's so fun now that the twins are a little older to see how much they LOVE the 4th! They had a blast at the parade,and then we did some waterslides and slip n slides at some of our great friends parents house,then to the The Elmore's house again this year for our annual barbque and illegal fireworks that Trav picks up in Alpine!;) (the 4th is also Trav's favorite holiday!) It's like I have three 4yr olds that day!;) ha! We ate way to much and stayed up way to late celebrating Independance Day!! Just how it should be on our Nations Bday!!:))

I just wanted to get a pic from Mother's Day on here for my mom,we had a great day up in Island Park w my side of the family. The twins and Trav spoiled me,and I spoiled my mom!;) I feel so lucky to have been given the VERY best mom and Grandma, and best friend in the WHOLE world!! Love you mom!!:)))

I'm SOOOO late doing a birthday post for Trav!  It was his 34th and luckily the Jazz made it to the playoffs!! We decided to take the twinners to their first Utah Jazz game w us and stay the weekend in SLC. The twins LOVE to take trips and stay in hotels and they love the Jazz so they were SO excited! Even though the Jazz lost to the Spurs,theres nothing like a playoff game at Energy Solutions,the loudest arena in the NBA! Their was a million things going on  and tons of fabulous food and they gave out playoff towels to everybody. I of course was worried cause the game was a late game at 8:30,but the twins loved it!!!....until about halftime then they were bored and over it!ha! I took them out to the indoor playground and tried to let Trav watch some more of the game,but we all ended up walking back to the hotel and catching the rest on tv:)) It was a fabulous weekend and I think Trav had a pretty great 34th!! We had some yummy food and I even managed to sneak some shopping in;))) (we all know Trav HATES to shop!;))) We did the Discovery Center the next day for the twins which they always love to do when we're in Salt Lake to!:))) Here's to hoping the Jazz make the playoffs again next year for Trav's bday!!! He's SOOO hard to buy for,so Jazz tickets are always perfect!!!!;)))) Happy 34th babe,we LOVE you!!:)))

The SLC marathon!!!

I'm getting behind on blogging and checking blogs lately!!! So I'm trying to catch up! I haven't posted since March!! So I'm sure I'll miss some things we did over the past few weeks;( April was busy w Trav's Bday(which we just celebrated late,I'll post seperate:)) And my parents FINALLY came back from Arizona just in time for my mom's bday! We were SO excited to have her back close to us!! Especially the twinners! We spent the day w her on her bday and took her shopping and to lunch!:) And then we went to Salt Lake for the weekend,for me to run in the SLC half marathon. It was going to be a weekend away for me and Trav,but he wasn't feeling well,so I packed up my mom and the kids and we made a weekend out of it! Saturday was the race bright and early! I'll have to admit,I had a bad week up to the race, I managed to make it to Crossfit once and the rest of the week I was pretty sick,so I didn't get any runs in and was on antibiotics, (guess Trav caught it from me) So my attitude wasn't the best!Anyone that knows me knows when it comes to races I can get pretty competitive so I was just hoping for a good 13.1 miles!:) It was bright and early Sat, morning and I ran w one of my really good friends Cami Elmore,her amazing sisters who I've kind of adopted as my own sisters,drove us up to the starting point super early and waited to cheer us on at different points along the race!! So awesome of them and I can't thank them enough!:))) The course was so pretty and the weather was HOT! Which was great till the uphill at about mile 11,then it was TO HOT!ha! Definitely thankful for the water stations!:) About mile 7 I got that runners high,that makes it seem like you could run forever! And that race mind set kicked it and I remembered why I love running so much!:) I had a pretty bad cramp in my right leg the last mile or so that I couldn't get rid of,which slowed me down just a tad! I finished in 2:06,but was really wanting to finish at 2! I did slow down for some water a few times,but again the competitive side of me wanted to run it again and beat that time!;)The crowds in SLC were amazing and SO many people were running,I've never really had that urge to want to run a FULL marathon but I must say after that race it does cross my mind! Guess we'll see:))) Can't wait to run it again next year! The twins LOVED wearing my medal around and running around like me to say they won the race and got the medal! ha! After I went to the hotel and got ready, me and my mom and the kids had to check out City Creek of course....I realized that after running 13 miles I then probably walked 5 pushing a double stroller AND wearing 6in. wedges of course!!;) ( I only wear flats if its tennis shoes when I'm working out or flip flops on the beach!;))Needless to say Sunday was more shopping but my poor legs were REALLY feeling it by Sunday night! I think I'm still recovering!!;) It was a great weekend! Thanks so much for the people that cheered us on and for the love I got before the race from friends and family!:))) Mostly to Trav who makes it home on time to watch the kiddos so I can Crossfit and squeeze in some runs! I know it cuts into his gym time some days:))))p.s. I'm missing several pics from this weekend,but oh well you get the point:))and I have no idea what the little blank pic on the bottom was,wish I was better w blogger!!!;)And like always their in no special order!!ha! Arizona-2012!!!!

We had our annual trip to Arizona this year to get out of the cold!! And of course to visit my mom and dad who we are missing SOOOO much!!!!:( This year Kevin,Ash,and the kids came to,so it really was a Button family reunion!!!:))) It's always nice when the cousins get to spend some fun time together to! We decided to all stay in Phoenix/Scottsdale this year at the Pointe Hilton Resort at Squaw Peak(for anyone that has kiddos I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!!!)......and as for myself I suggest it because the Scottsdale Fashion Square is only 20min. away,BEST shopping EVER!!! ;)))My parents drove up from Yuma to stay w us:)The trip started out fabulous!,the kids were SO excited to see my parents! The weather was amazing the whole time to! The resort has an amazing swimming complex,w a few pools,a kids pool,a huge waterslide(that all the kids went down by themselves on!)a lazy river,some great food and nice suites! Great location and of course Trav loved that we had a Trader Joe's close by:) (me to!)Our second day there,poor Luke started getting redder and redder,and I KNEW it wasn't sunburned red,The rest of us are dark skinned so we never wear much sunscreen(I know,not good);) even though luke is fairer he tans really well,so I got scared,my mom and I had covered him in some foam sunscreen,and were pretty sure he was having an allergic reaction to it,by Sat, night I was getting scared,he looked terrible,his face was SO swollen and his eyes were swelling shut,I felt so bad and helpless for him:( He finally fell asleep and woke up about 3am to throw up,I'd never seen anything like it,his skin was all red and dry and I knew it itched the poor guy,he couldn't see,Trav called and found out how close we were to the childrens hospital. we were getting ready to take him,and he SO didn't want to go,he said he needed to sleep. We talked to a Dr. over the phone who said to give him benadryl and put hydrocortisone cream on him,and a cool bath. We did all of this and he fell asleep.Me and Trav of course stayed up all night watching him sleep,to make sure he was breathing and stuff,I was in total panic mode!The next morning it hadn't gotten any worse so we felt like that was good at least,but he was so tired and couldn't go out in the sun or water,so he stayed in bed w Grammie all day,(which Grandma of course loved);) Once I knew he was getting better,me and my little shopping partner in crime (Mia),escaped to Scottsdale for some shopping,they have a HUGE Disney store,so I bought Luke a whole bunch of treats to bring back to him,I think it made me feel better to buy him stuff so he'd be happy!haha! He was back in the water 2 days later,and everything was fine! From now on Luke will be wearing ONLY sensitive skin,all natural sunscreen!!!!:) Aside from Luke's allergic reaction we had a great time,so fun to all get to spend some time together, and get Travis and Kevin to leave work and enjoy life a little to!;) ha! Wish we could have stayed longer,and we're missing my parents already! Can't wait till they get home in April!Thanks again mom and dad for taking such good care of us all while we were there,you guys are the very best!!!!:)))(and as always my pics are in random order,and some are on there twice cause I can't remember how to delete them after their downloaded on here!)Enjoy!;)

The twins 4yr old favorites:))))

So I meant to post this on their bday,but never did,I've seen other people do it and have seen it on Pinterest to:))) So I figure from now on I'm doing it also,cause it'll be so cute to look back on and compare their answers:)) I asked the twins seperately some questions to their favorite things,it was really fun to hear their answers:))))

The twins also had their 4yr old checkups and I may need to face the facts that they may always be tiny and not get their dads height!:( But like Dr. Moore said about Luke.....not everyone can be a Center:)) haha! But I'm still hoping he can be a quarterback!!!;) He'd rather be QB anyways!!right!?:) Luke weighed 33lbs. and was only about 35% in height. and my little Mia was a whopping 28lbs. and 9th percentile for height!I'm pretty sure I was 28lbs. when I was 1!!!!lol!She's so cute I wouldnt have her any other way!!!:))))Other than that,they are doing great and they were preemies so according to their growth charts their doing fabulous!!!:))))

Merry Christmas 2011!!!!:)))

I'm FINALLY getting around to doing a Christmas post,and the pics will probabably be in no real order after the post!:) December goes by SO fast for us it feels like! With the twins b-days and the holidays,it seems to fly by!!! We headed up to Island Park for Christmas weekend to spend it w my parents and Kevin,Ashley and the kids. We love being up there in all the snow for Christmas! The twins were SUCH a blast this year, they were SOOO into everything Christmas! Luke was dressed as Santa for weeks before Christmas and is STILL dressing up daily,begging Mia to be Mrs. Clause and begging me,Trav,my mom,or any willing participant to be Rudolph! haha! It's hilarious and I'm just wondering how long it's going to go on!! He says he wants to be Santa for Halloween......and I'm actually thinking he's serious and won't change his mind!At least he's original I guess right????;)) We do the Elf on the Shelf every year to and it was PURE JOY every morning for a month when they'd get up and try and find where "Christopher" the elf was, they were bummed on Christmas morning (after all the gifts)of course to realize that Christopher had to "go back" to the North Pole again w Santa and we'd see him again around Thanksgiving next time:)))It was so cute to watch them each leave a special plate of food out for Santa and one for the reindeers,and shocked the next morning when all the food was gone:)We did alot of eating and snowmobiling and sledding! It was a great time! So thankful for my fabulous parents for always going all out for us.....and having to clean up the HUGE MESS after we all leave!!ha!The twins also had a blast at their school Christmas party,Miss Becky does the cutest stuff w them and they LOVE it there! They made the cutest little handprint canvases on ribbon to give to me and Trav for Christmas! Hope everyone had a Happy Holidays!!!:)))
